An autodidact filmmaker, Maka’s diverse life and artistic experiences in the past, from DJ-ing to painting and modeling have contributed to his well-rounded aptitude and profound ability to connect with a story. He describes his idealism and persistence as ‘the necessary process of finding the soul of the story’. A French national born and bred in West Africa, Maka has resided in Bali for over fifteen years. His recent documentary “Devocean” has won “Best Documentary” at the 2015 “Belgian People’s Choice Awards”.
Producer & Director of Photography
Coming from the film world and known for his skills to capture people’s soul and document life, Olivier has always been a purist behind the lens, blending rich and textured cinematography with today’s modern video and multimedia demand. His visions and field experience are essential in his role as Co-Producer in Cinecut Films. Olivier’s portfolio includes National Geographic, Discovery Channel, BBC, Fox 20th Century, and Canal +.
Script & Story Supervisor
Alicia has worked for international hotel brands in Australia, USA and Indonesia. In June 2015, Alicia founded Plan B Marketing, a boutique marketing agency working with small and medium enterprises in Bali. Her passion for great stories, combined with her analytical skills and deep insight of people and make her an expert storyteller.
Camera Operator & Art Director
A Bali native, Arya has been in the filmmaking industry for over twelve years. His first specialty was wedding videography and later decided to branch out to other areas of filmmaking including advertisements. His skills and flexibility behind the camera makes him one of Bali’s most seasoned camera operators.
